  3. I like the photo at night wear the lights are on display....not sure I would get use to their summer months when daylight is around for longer periods of time... ! :) ♥♥☺☺

    1. Yes, it is strange to see the sun above the skyline and not getting darker than dusk.We were there a few years ago during the summer solstice. On the other hand, during the winter months it doesn't get lighter than a gloomy dusk either. Of course the reflection from the snow must help to brighten it to a certain extent, but no sun or daylight that far north. Our Sami guide said having lived there for hundreds of years that it doesn't affect them, but a lot of non native people suffer badly with depression through the winter.

  5. I have never been anywhere near the arctic. It's been a lifelong dream of mine to see the Northern Lights and also the midnight sun (which obviously I can't do on the same trip). I did read some of your link. Maybe one day....
