Wordless Wednesday -The Memorial Garden

Each year the boys roses seem to take it in turn which will flower first. This year though they both flowered together.

Flynn on the left and Eric on the right.

There is a rose for every cat buried here.

Hopefully the bedding plants will soon grow to cover the soil.

I am joining Sandee at Comedy Plus for the blog hop.

  8. I LOVED seeing all of those pictures of their Garden. I biggified each picture and looked carefully. Their roses are beautiful;and I always look forward to your showing then to us each year when they bloom. I didn't know there was a rose for each little one who is buried there. I feel the love you two have for them all, andcertainly for Eric and Flynn. That love reaches out to those of us who share that love for your boys and for their own Angels.

  9. That's a beautiful garden, such a lovely memorial to all your cats. Somehow it seems fitting that both Eric's and Flynn's roses bloomed together this year. ♥

  13. A favorite poem of mine, reads (paraphrased here) ... "the rose that grows beyond the garden wall may be out of sight, yet its fragrance lingers on."
As do the memories of those loved.

  18. A beautiful memorial post. How wonderful to have a rose plant for each cat buried in the garden. One of our pet dog was in our garden.

  21. What a lovely idea. We have a much-loved cat buried in our garden. I'm sure he'd appreciate a rose.

  22. Gorgeous Roses! We are so happy that they are both doing so well. Mom planted one in the front bed here and she thought it got winter killed this year because of the cold, but (fortunately) only the centre portion had to be cut up. There are 4 strong healthy stems and we hope purrhaps we might get some blooms once we get some warm weather! Sending you Purrs Marv
