Wordless Wednesday, Valentia Island Ireland.

 On the road from Dingle to Cahersiveen we saw a signpost to Valentia Island and decided to cross the bridge to explore. There was a lot of slate mining done there in the past but it appears deserted now.



I have no idea what the white pentagon is in the photo. It wasn't visible when I took the photo so assume it was a light reflection. At least that is what I hope it was!

    It's a beautiful, stark landscape. I'd go with a light reflection for that pentagon too! 😁

    What a lovely grotto tucked away there. Our Dad would love to see that. We have a grotto and statue in one of our gardens here.

    Impressive place! That pentagon could be a sign of something inside.
    Maybe next time you will visit the place, you check again.

    Awesome my ancestors on my Mom's side come from Ireland,and Scotland. Dad's grandmother was born and raised in Whales before coming to America.
