M'dina, Malta.
There are only around 300 inhabitants of the ancient city and very few cars leading to it's nickname of The Silent City. It adjoins the village of Rabat which has a population of over 11,000.
Mdina is full of very narrow streets so is not at all suited to traffic. |

That looks like a super cool place to explore!
ReplyDeleteI think I would enjoy a place with so few people and cars, at least for a while.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this journey in Malta. A place with a huge history.
ReplyDeleteAnd with a special ... workshop!
Happy WW, dear Jackie! A fine week ahead! ❤️😘
Over here in the US we are so used to sprawl, that's hard to imagine that hundreds of years ago these were built only a few feet apart from each other. The clock tower is so impressive and so is the statue of the Madonna.
ReplyDeleteAmazing. It would be fun to explore though I think I would start to feel claustrophobic if there too long!
ReplyDeletehaving no cars pass by the house would be a blessing….and that statue of Mary makes mine look like a toy 🙀🦋💚💙‼️
ReplyDeleteEverything is so tight and old, fun to see but not a place we would like to live or anything.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tour! We visited Malta in 2018 and loved it. Mdina is so unique. ♥
ReplyDeleteI would love to explore this area. Beautiful shots. You're such a traveler, Jackie.

ReplyDeleteIt feels like a step back in time.
Beautiful photos as always, Jackie!
Thank you for the pictures. You can really see the mix of European and Middle Eastern influences.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful is M'dina. Just the place we'd like to live. I must go some day, assuming Mrs H can get someone to take us.
