Wordless Wednesday, Malta.

M'dina, Malta.

There are only around 300 inhabitants of the ancient city and very few cars leading to it's nickname of The Silent City. It adjoins the village of Rabat which has a population of over 11,000.

Mdina is full of very narrow streets so is not at all suited to traffic.

Statue of the Madonna and Child on the Carmelite Church.

Gold leaf painting in a workshop.

Views of the neighbouring village of Rabat from the city walls.

The Mtarfa clock tower near Rabat.

I am joining Sandee at Comedy Plus for the blog hop.

  2. I think I would enjoy a place with so few people and cars, at least for a while.

  4. Over here in the US we are so used to sprawl, that's hard to imagine that hundreds of years ago these were built only a few feet apart from each other. The clock tower is so impressive and so is the statue of the Madonna.

  5. Amazing. It would be fun to explore though I think I would start to feel claustrophobic if there too long!

  7. Everything is so tight and old, fun to see but not a place we would like to live or anything.

  15. How wonderful is M'dina. Just the place we'd like to live. I must go some day, assuming Mrs H can get someone to take us.
