Wordless Wednesday - Tectonic Plates, Iceland.

This photo may look very ordinary and boring but it is in Dimmuborgir National Park and is of the American and Eurasian tectonic plates pulling apart. Iceland, as far as I know is the only place in the world where they can be seen above ground and it goes right across the country. Everywhere else they are on the sea bed.
