I had mentioned to someone the other day that we had visited a place near Helsinki and have since realised I got the name wrong. That is what happens when you don't keep notes of where you have visited. It gave me the idea to use it for my Wordless Wednesday.
Finnish World War 2 cemetery near Poorvoo, Helsinki.
The church.
I am joining Sandee at Comedy Plus for the blog hop.
That is a solemn and beautiful place.

Years ago Mom was in Helsinki, it is a beautiful place but you have to go in the summer months or it would just be all dark.
ReplyDeleteVery nice photos Jackie and thanks for the tip to keep notes on travels.

What lovely pictures, the pulpit (if that's what it is!) is beautiful.
ReplyDeletePoorvoo is a gorgeous place. One of the guys I worked with in Burnaby was from Poorvoo. He did a lunch hour slideshow of his hometown when he came back after going home for a vacation and brought us some of the most delicious caramel chocolate I've ever had. Such lovely blue skies and what a pulpit. Thanks Jackie. I love your travel photos. Barb
