Wordless Wednesday - Snowdonia, Wales.

Don't click on the photos to enlarge, I had the camera on the wrong setting!

The name The Ugly House is thought to be a corruption of the name of the local river, Lugwy. It is in Capel Curig which has the dubious honour of being the wettest place in the UK with an average annual rainfall of 2612.18mm which is slightly under 103 inches.

I am joining Sandee at Comedy Plus for the blog hop.

Thank you, Jackie for showing this place. It's like in a parallel universe!
And... it's not ugly at all! It's savage!

  7. Outstanding sheep out standing in their field. The department head of Physics at NC State University was from Wales. Snowdonia gives my mind's eye lots of pretty images. Every Christmas we had a pot luck lunch in the department. His wife always brought something truly delicious that was served during holidays in Wales.
    Hugs Cecilia

  11. That is some scenic countryside. That house isn't really ulgy, I kind of like it!

  12. The house would grow on me, and the countryside is lovely. That's more rain than we even get here in the swamps, though, and i'm not so sure i'd get used to that.

  14. Gorgeous landscapes and adorable sheep. The ugly house might as well be rechristened Pretty House. :)
