Wordless Wednesday- Peterhof Palace, Russia.

The grounds of Peterhof Palace.

A fountain in the lower garden.

There are also trick fountains in various places that spray the unwary visitor if they step on a stone that triggers it. These children must have found the stone at this fountain and are using it to cool down.

Part of the gardens. Note yet another gold statue!
I forgot to resize the photos so hope they display properly.

I am joining Sandee at Comedy Plus for the blog hop.

  8. The odd thing about Russia is their love of gold everywhere. The fountain looks fun for the kids.

  11. I've been to many guardens in the Unives States but I've never knowingly seen a surprise fountain. That, and the gold statues (something else I haven't seen) made this garden special.

  14. These are lovely. I visited there in 2017, with my choir. Did you get to see the big fountain that plays music (I'm sure it had a name but I can't remember offhand)?

  17. Such beauty. As befits a palace, of course. Those fountains must give much amusement to the regulars.
