Wordless Wednesday, Kristiansand, Norway,
Approaching Kristiansand,Norway.
The tall Ships were there on the next leg of their race with their last port being Aberdeen in Scotland. Their next destination was Esbjerg in Denmark.

Wordless Wednesday, Warnemunde.
It was overcast with light rain when we docked in Warnemunde (Rostock)
The Captain had said the weather would clear by midday so we decided we would have an early lunch and go ashore afterwards.

Wordless Wednesday -Skagen, Denmark.
The approach to Skagen. The complete breakwater was built from stone.
If you enlarge the photo you will hopefully be able to see that the complete wall was covered with cormorants.
They are clearer in this photo.
Not sure if these are of any significance. More likely just a modern sculpture.

Wordless Wednesday - Helsinki
Just back from a cruise, so here are the first of my photos.
Helsinki Harbour 27.07.25
We had a tour around Helsinki, but I wished we had taken a cab to the waterfront instead. Our tour guide was not the best as she repeated everything about ten times and in English every time.
We did visit the Church in the rock though.
Temppeliaukio church is situated in the heart of Helsinki, at the end of Fredrikinkatu. Excavated directly into solid rock, it is an architectural gem designed by the two brothers Suomalainen and erected in 1969. The church hall is covered with a dome, lined with 22 kilometres of copper and supported on the rock walls by reinforced concrete beams. The dome has 180 skylights, through which the natural light is let in throughout the year. The interior walls are of rugged rock and rubble and an ice-age crevice serves as the altarpiece. Due to its excellent acoustics the church is a popular venue for concerts and has hosted up to 400 concerts a single year.
The organist was playing while we were there, and the acoustics are indeed very good
