Iguanas on St, Thomas.

The Emerald Princess in Crown Bay Harbour.

We returned to St. Thomas after the first cruise and I remembered seeing many iguanas lying on the rocks in the sun when we were there 10 days earlier. I took my camera this time hoping they would be there again and they didn't disappoint.

They seemed to pose for the camera.

and saw no fear of humans.
I can see four in this photo, but when I took it, I am sure there were more. Maybe they scuttled away quickly without me noticing or have blended so well into their surroundings that I can't see them.




This one chose the whitest rock to show off his green colouring.

After that it was back to the ship for a glass of wine.

Yes, it is okay, your toes are all still there!

And no, you won't see the iguanas from there.

Sunsets and Halloween.

I love to take photos of sunsets and these are some that we saw while sitting on the balcony having a drink before dinner.




This is one of my favourites. I like the way the light shines silver above the cloud, and gold below.


These were taken seconds apart. The first on a night time setting and the second on a scenery setting with the flash turned off.
We were on board for Halloween and it was fun to see the ship decorated.


We entered in the spirit of things as well.

Bonaire

These are our first views of Bonaire. We have been to many of the Caribbean islands several times, but this was our first visit to this one.

Bonaire is known for being one of the top places in the world for snorkeling and scuba diving.

This is the fish market.

We took a taxi to see some of the main sights on the island and passed this big iguana sitting on a rock.

This is 1000 Steps beach. There are a lot of stone steps leading down to it but we didn't stop to count them.

Dominica and Wedding Anniversary.

We arrived to rain in Dominica on the 23rd October.


It soon cleared though and the temperature was nearing 90F by 10 am.

The 23rd was also our 40th wedding anniversary, and hotel management on the Emerald Princess had a flower arrangement sent to our cabin.


We had received several cards before we left home, so took them with us to hang up on the day.

In the evening we went to The Crown Grill steakhouse and were given a bottle of champagne.


It had been a very enjoyable day.

St. Thomas US Virgin Islands

We left Port Everglades at 5pm on the 19th October and had our first stop at Princess' private beach Princess Cays on the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas. No photos, I left the camera on the ship. The next day was a sea day heading towards our next port of call.
