Bonaire

These are our first views of Bonaire. We have been to many of the Caribbean islands several times, but this was our first visit to this one.

Bonaire is known for being one of the top places in the world for snorkeling and scuba diving.

This is the fish market.

We took a taxi to see some of the main sights on the island and passed this big iguana sitting on a rock.

This is 1000 Steps beach. There are a lot of stone steps leading down to it but we didn't stop to count them.

Cactus growing from the rock.

Towards Heaven monument built with donations from the Catholic church.

Looking across to the salt pans which can be seen in the centre of the picture just below the skyline.
Salt Lake.

Flamingos at Salt Lake.
