Wordless Wednesday Church of the Saviour on the Spilled Blood.

The Church of the Saviour on the Spilled Blood was built on the place where the Romanov family was assassinated. More information can be found here.

The photos are not good quality because we couldn't use a flash.

This door and much of the interior is made up of millions of tiny mosaic tiles.

I am joining Sandee at Comedy Plus for the blog hop.

  1. Even without flash, the images are spectacular! All these constructions have behind a history with a lot of blood. I wander if this is not the cause of our strange present.
    Happy WW, dear Jackie!
I wish you in advance, A happy New Year, with health and joy!
    Hugs!❤️๐Ÿ˜˜

  2. Just the thought of building such a church is exhausting. All the work that goes into the building and details plus the art. It is always amazing.

  7. I read your link and a little of this building's history. It's a miracle, indeed, that the building still exists. Stunning architecture.
