Wordless Wednesday -Skagen, Denmark.

The approach to Skagen. The complete breakwater was built from stone.

If you enlarge the photo you will hopefully be able to see that the complete wall was covered with cormorants.

They are clearer in this photo.

Not sure if these are of any significance. More likely just a modern sculpture.

I am joining Sandee at Comedy Plus for the blog hop.

  1. There have been many times that I couldn't wait to get into the breakwater. The calm begins in the breakwater. Beautiful shots. Bodies of water and boats are near and dear to my heart.

Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday, Jackie. Love and hugs. ♥

  4. I love to see images from other countries that probably I'll never see.
The breakwater is so clever and so are the cormorans as they stay there!
The modern art usually is quite ermetic, but probably in that space it has a meaning for locals.
Thank you Jackie for the new trip. Hugs and Happy WW!❤️😘

  5. Just look out there into the ocean and see all of those working ships. And yes the number of birds was incredible. These are some really fun photos but I'm not sure about the artwork either.

  12. I remember visiting a village in the Northeast United States and seeing cormorants lining a jetty (if that's the right word) and now I'm seeing it again in Denmark. It bought back nice memories.

  13. So many boats out at sea. I wonder how long it took them to put down so many stones that evenly. Not small stones either!.
