Wordless Wednesday - Stockholm

We wondered why the traffic was being stopped.
 

We soon found out when the marching band arrived.

Then the next group followed.

We had been heading to the Royal Palace and didn't realise the Changing of the Guard was about to start.

Wordless Wednesday

 Yesterday the weather was reasonably warm at 58F so we took a trip up to Crooklets beach in Bude, N. Cornwall. Although smaller than the other beaches there it is popular with surfers. The waves were messy though so they weren't having much luck.

The sun tried to shine but it was very hazy and meant the photos weren't as good as they could be. It was nice to get out though.

Wordless Wednesday - Finland

 When we stopped in Helsinki we took a tour into the countryside. I can't remember the name of the place but was probably no more than 40 miles from Helsinki. We were welcomed into a home where part was kept as it used to be years before.

After we were free to walk around their land and saw this old car in immaculate condition.

A bit further on we saw this!!

Apparently it had been bought for restoration, but it was quite a surprise to see it in the middle of a field.

A bit rushed this week as we lost internet last night. Hopefully I haven't used any of these photos before.

Wordless Wednesday

 When we were in Lisbon we decided to take a tuk tuk to the various sights we hadn't got to before. We should have thought about the uneven cobbled streets and the crazy way they drive before we had decided. I think that not only every bone in our bodies, but our teeth too were well and truly rattled.

The Museo do Fado was one of the places we stopped.

At the end we went for a very strong coffee and a Pastéis de Belém a local and delicious custard tart.
