Next morning we headed off towards our last bed and breakfast in Dungarvan.
We had decided to go via Killarney and see Muckross House on the way.
There were lots of horse drawn carriages called jaunting cars which would take you for a trip around the grounds or into Killarney.

Then it was time for a coffee and continue on to Dungarvan.

the horse drawn carriage would have been fun !!! I wonder if the spruce in photo two grew that way or was trimmed that way.... :) ♥♥
ReplyDeleteI would think that it had a light trim to keep it tidy.
DeleteOh my, what a lovely trip you had. Thank you for sharing it with me.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day. ♥
What a strange sculpture; assuming it was one?
ReplyDeleteThat house looks huge, is it something besides a house, distillery maybe?
Interesting they still do horse carriage rides. I imagine they suit the slow pace of the locality very well and lovely way to see the sights.

The sculpture is carved from a tree that blew down during a storm. The house and estate was Ireland's first National Park and is open to the public. I don't think any part of it is lived in now. There are more details in the link at the top of the post.
