Wordless Wednesday - Snow.

I know snow is no big deal to a lot of people, but where I live an inch is a snowstorm so please humour me!
The first three were taken from the ship's balcony in port in Tromso, Norway.
Yes, I even had to take a photo of my footprints in the snow!

Alta, Norway. We were searching for the Northern Lights with our Sami guide/driver and only found a snowstorm that night. The snow plough was not far ahead of us and we stopped by the road when the sky cleared, but no Lights.
There was a foot of snow in three hours. The depth on the side of the road is about three feet. Ivor is holding my walking stick down into it.
It was fun throwing snowballs though!

I am joining Sandee at Comedy Plus for the Wordless Wednesday blog hop.

  3. We got about an inch but it's the cold temps that kill me. Ugh, I'm freezing this morning!! I'm not ready for old man winter to be here this soon. It seems we always get a frigid snap close to Thanksgiving and then December is mild which is super crazy because that's when I'd like for it to be cold. Christmas and snow just go together. Have a happy WW!

  4. We don't have that much snow on the ground right now but an hour north of us, it's a way different story (we live on the edge of upstate New York's infamous snowbelt.) Hope you get to see those Lights!

  5. We love snow here in Minnesnowta. Mom lived on the North Sea Coast in Germany for many years and there they would close everything for a light dusting of snow. She always found it so crazy! Enjoy Norway. Mom says it is a beautiful place.

  7. That's a lot of snow in a short time. I've not been to the snow in years. It doesn't snow here. To many palm trees.

Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ♥

  9. We miss the snow in my part of the world. Though it does happen not too far from where I live. But then I prefer the sunny summers by the beach to a snow storm any day. :)

I would love to see the Northen lights some day. I've heard they are stunning in Norway.

Stay warm and have a blessed new season.

    Good to be here. :)

  14. That, is a lot of snow. I don't think would have left the comfort of the boat on a day like that, MOL
I do hope you find some more of the Northern lights.

  15. Norway is definitely one of the places to go for snow. I know from your photos that Devonshire is often green even in winter.
