Ireland Road Trip Part 8 Dungarvan Second Day continued.

We had been told we couldn't miss the old mine workings as they were right beside the road.

They are the Tankardstown copper mine workings at Knockmahon.

We couldn't go in but could walk all around the area. There were seats there too so we could sit and enjoy the view.

Moving on again and yet another beach to stop at for photos.

The sea mist was starting to roll in, but it had stayed dry all day!

Time to go back to the B&B for a shower and get ready to go out for our evening meal.

  2. That really is quite the view and it would have been cool if you could have explored the copper mine a little.

  3. I marvel sometimes at what nature takes with her and chooses to leave. the smoke stack tower looks as if it was built last week !!! the second beach photo looks as if someone is standing on shore shooting hose water into the ocean.... { I know, I'm strange } !! I can remember weezer telling me when she remarked something to the effect of: it rains every say; a resident corrected her saying; we call it misting :) ♥♥☺☺

  6. I like to see thatthe old places man built up are now being consumed into the landscape. In such a wonderful scenery there is so much majesty in nature alone, be it the sea cliffs or beaches. The mine workings would clearly have been very impressive in their time.
